ON to the Adewumi's story as told to CBN
HOW does God lead a Nigerian family living in Abuja, from sure slaughter to freedom in Manhattan, New York?
Divinely directed, God used Tani, the Adewaumi's 8 year old son and the game of chess to broadcast His supernatural provision for the Christian family.
Tani's love for chess began a year after his family fled for their lives. Tani's father, Kayode and print shop owner refused to print flyers that read, "Kill all Christians, Death to Christians" for the Boko Haram militant group.
The Boko Haram retaliated by terrorizing their home. 
Oluwatoyin, Tani's mother recalled,
"One pointed a gun at me. I was on the floor and prayed, 'God please save me, save my children.' "
Oluwatoyin's prayers were answered
when the terrorists left without harming anyone.
Prompted to flee to Akure, the family again faced the militants who threatened, "We traced you to Akure, now you will meet your God today," recalled Oluwatoyin.
Miraculously obtaining visas to stay with relatives in Texas, the family left everything behind. Grateful for their lives, Oluwatoyin recalled, "We don't look back and thank God we have somewhere we can put our head."
Yet God led them through more challenges to miracles.
After their visit with relatives in 2017, the family moved to a homeless shelter in Manhattan, a time when Tani's love and skill for chess flourished. Now a third grader, Tani joined a chess club and chess coach Shawn, instantly recognized Tani's gift.
For the next two years, Tani "worked his butt off, which separated him from everyone else," said
Shawn and added, instead of "having fun, Tani wanted to practice. He was the first one at the board."
With few tournament victories, Tani pressed on and said, "Even if there were no prizes, I just wanted to have that feeling I'm doing well."
Soon Tani's patience and prayers paid off when his coach took him to the 2019 New York state chess championship.
With little expectation for the 8 year old chess player, Tani shocked his coaches and the chess world as the winner of 73 players.
Tani explains his success to God's timing and help.
"He helped me with chess.
He gave me confidence. I pray to Him and He answered," said Tani as more miracles showered the family.
When the unusual story of how the
Nigerian family courageously escaped terrorism \ hit the media, the public supernaturally responded by donating $250,000 in ten days to a Go-Fund Me platform started by Tani's coaches.
Yet God had more for the former refugee family.
"One family just called me and gave me a brand-new car, said Kayode, Tani's father. Another person rented an apartment for us for a year!"
And the family still seeks divine direction. "God still has something for us to do," said Kayode.
Together the family glorify God through their book, "My Name is Tani and I Believe in Miracles."
Along with their book, they founded the Tanitoluwa Ademumi Foundation which helps underserved families.
As for Tani?
He continues practicing his craft and praying while keeping his sight on the world's youngest grandmaster title.
Kayoda's message, "God let the whole world know He can bring somebody from destruction, to something" is for all seeking help, hope and restoration.

Prayers for you. . . 
Lord, as we move through April . . .
We celebrate resurrection life all month and year. Thank you Father for being our Way Maker, Life Giver, Restorer, Redeemer, Healer and more when you sacrificed your precious son Jesus Christ for each person reading this. I Peter 2 & 24
Thank you Father that your word is alive, sharper than a two-edged sword and knows no time or distance. Hebrews 4:12
Most of all Father, thank you that you are The Way Maker who heals hearts, minds, bodies, and provides divine connection, direction, restoration, revelation, and more for each person reading this. Isaiah 41:13
You know what each person needs and we thank you for the power (Luke 10:19) to take authority over sickness, poverty, terror, torment, hopelessness of all kinds because of Jesus sacrifice. 1 Peter 2. 24
Father thank you for comforting persons suffering from loss as we decree supernatural restoration for hope and a future. Together with this person, we declare Jehovah Shalom in their hearts, minds, bodies, families as we abort, smash and nullify all plans of the enemy.
Father, we also declare Jesus Christ as our savior and renounce any activity not aligned with your loving will for this precious person reading this.
Lord, through the power you gave us, we cancel thoughts of defeat, destruction, self loathing, rage, violence, greed, poverty, obsession, possession, witchcraft, hopelessness and more (Luke 10:19).
GO now in Jesus name!
We shout another praise "Hallelujah" to you Father, our Way Maker!
Father, thank you for loving prodigals as we decree them returned home and restored to their divine purpose. We praise You for perfect laborers in their paths who lead them to you, Father.
We thank you now Holy Spirit for signs, wonders and miracles for the person reading this in Jesus name (Mark 16:20)! In places of devastation, Father, we thank you for miraculous restoration!
Father, we also crush strongholds of persecution, possession, chaos, division in Jesus name in countries, cities, townships and more.
Lord, we decree divine direction for new jobs, opportunities, and promotion. We know nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37) with you and align our thoughts with yours.
We also decree protection of life ordained as your most precious creation Father God and celebrate what you celebrate Father God...birthrights for all lives. We smash and crush spirits of death and murder in Jesus Name.
Father, we also decree supernatural protection, restoration, and direction for all serving on medical teams, first responders, those fighting disasters and for those fighting for God given freedoms in nations, cities, provinces, townships and neighborhoods, whether in the air, water, ground or under water.
Lord, again, with the power and authority you gave us Luke 10:19, we abort all schemes of the enemy that divert your perfect will for all we pray with nationally and globally.
Together we praise you Father, as we decree and align ourselves with your will and dwell in your shelter because you Father are the Most High we trust Psalms 91.
