During a time when fear is infused in the hearts of people globally, God's healing word is still true today, during this Passover, Easter and year! 

It doesn't make any difference what you've done, or where you are now.

 God loves you, has a purpose for you and wants to erase your fears through his greatest love gift, Jesus.

Consider one of God's many promises  for you.  "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid " (John 14:27 NIV).



What's more. . .

God cares about you so much so that he gave you over 365 verses and specific prayers about combatting fear with God's promises!  Now that's good news and while I still am learning. . .  one of my favorite psalms is Psalms 91 and declare it as often as needed!  

What I learned is where the word exists fear cannot stay.

And. . . 

Leah's story is a living testimony of God's glorious rescue from suffocating fear, self loathing and sex trafficking.

ON to Leah's story as told to CBN

IMAGINE. . .  a life riddled with drugs, molestation, beatings, and fear. This was Leah Roger's norm which started when her drug addicted mother gave birth to Leah. 

Fast forward to 13 years, and Leah found herself  living with  Child Protective Services in a group home  where she grappled with her definition of love. 

"Guys liked me for my body which I thought was love,"  recalled Leah. "That's all I knew."

At eighteen, the system released Leah and her one year old daughter into a world where fear gripped her heart again. With no money or help, Leah entered the dark world of stripping.

"I thought. "What's the big deal?  Guys have touched me my whole life," said Leah.

Yet it was a big deal. And after six years in a world of darkness, Leah found herself in a darker sex trafficking world of depraved violence and horror which began with a pimp's seduction of gifts that quickly turned to isolation, brutal beatings, burnings and brainwashing.

Leah recalled his murderous threats when he said, 'If you leave me, I'm going to kill you, and if I can't find you I'm going to kill your mother,'  who had since become a Christian. 

Gripped with fear again, Leah stayed and sent her daughter to live with her brother.

Leah's trauma increased as her pimp forced her into recruiting other girls while moving through the Southwest.  During those three years, she had his baby and his grip tightened.  Immediately transporting the baby to his mom, Leah hardly saw her son.

"I was afraid, skinny, and unhealthy," said Leah.  "People think I'm  a nasty prostitute no one cares about."  And with the abuse increasing "I felt trapped."

Desperate for escape, Leah prayed to God for help."My God, if you're real, please help me. I don't know how to escape, how to leave, I need your help. Save me, save me!"

                       

Leah's desperation led to a long awaited answer through  undercover officers who took them both into custody for trying to recruit girls. Fearful for her children and mother, Leah kept silent and was charged with the same felonies as her trafficker- 21!

Yet Leah did not stop talking to God, attended chapel, read the Bible and woke up early in the jail dorm to sing and pray.  Six months later, she gave her life to Christ.

"All the hurt, anger, pain and suffering was His." I started trusting Him, He was my father, He loved me," said Leah. "I believed that with all my heart," even after signing a plea deal for seven years.

Fear still gripped Leah's heart for her son.

Yet that all changed when the judge dropped all charges after Leah showed her lawyer a postcard from her trafficker's family which read, "I have your son." 

Leah recalled sobbing when her lawyer asked, "Are you ready to go home?" and said,  "Only God can make the judge turn his heart around."

Now with her children, Leah said,  "My  story was not in vain, I'm not scared because I can tell my story and have someone that protects me better than any human, which is God," 

Today, Leah's Help Her Stand Foundation counsels and courageously advocates for trafficking victims.  Her website offers more information.

Prayers for you. . .  

Father God,  thank you for all who are reading this. Thank you Father for loving them regardless of who they are, where they are or what they've done.  Thank you Father for your love imprinted on them before they were born and that your love has no time stamp  Jeremiah 29:11

Lord, we agree together right now hearts, minds are restored. We command all attacks aborted and strength restored to every cell, bone, organ and fiber you created Lord.

For anyone in pain right now, we break its stronghold... and say Holy Spirit touch them right now!

Father, in Jesus name we rebuke, smash and crush strongholds of suicide, self-hatred, addictions of all kinds, fear, self loathing, rage, anger and more.  GO now in Jesus name!  We  Thank you Holy Spirit for signs, wonders and miracles in their lives in Jesus name. 

We also declare all crooked, empty places in their lives righteously aligned and filled with your loving will according to 1 Peter 2.24.  Lord, we  praise you for "divine encounters"' and help for those in immediate need now. 

We declare any vile strongholds of persecution, possession and obsession loosed and crushed in Jesus name and anything stolen from them, supernaturally returned and restored. Lord, let each person know they were chosen by you for your supernatural love. 

  

We decree protection of life you ordained as your most precious creation Father God and praise you as we celebrate what you celebrate Father God...birthrights.  We declare vile strongholds contrary to your will loosed and smashed in Jesus name. 

Father, we decree your mighty hand of supernatural protection, restoration, and direction for all who are fighting disasters and for those fighting for God given freedoms in nations, cities, provinces, townships and neighborhoods, whether in the air, water or on the ground. 

We decree threats/attacks on freedom of any kind smashed, crushed, and thwarted in Jesus name. 

Lord, with the power and authority you gave us  according to Luke 10:19, we abort words and schemes of the enemy that divert your perfect will for all we pray for and with. 

And according to Mark 16.20 we praise you for confirming your glorious word with signs, wonders and miracles for them.  

Amen and Amen!
