BROKEN, SUICIDAL DRUG JUNKIE FREED through RADICAL ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS

                   

AS we finish January and walk through February,  Jesus our loving savior, healer, shepherd, invites you, yes you -  to walk with HIM.   

He  has good plans for you and craves a personal relationship with you.  

In fact. . . 

He has plans to prosper you and not harm you  regardless of what you've done or where you've been.

God loves you so much He paid the ultimate sacrifice for you to be whole, healthy and a living testimony for Him  (1Peter 2 & 24).

And. . . God answers when all seems hopeless, just lke he did for Michael Lombardo even though he turned his back God. 

Yet, what Michael didn't expect was God delivered him from a destructive drug lifestyle and suicidal  thoughts.

ON to Michael Lombardo's story as told to CBN 

HOW does God reach a teen who throws himself into a dark world of drugs, alcohol, punk rock, loose relationships, suicidal thoughts and dire depression? 

Walking away from the roots of his Christian family and "God stuff" Michael recalls entrenching himself into "crazier and reckless" experiences, when I was "seventeen, eighteen and nineteen." 

Despite the toll on his parents, Joe and Stephanie never gave up praying through the "tears and sleepless nights" and "not knowing where he was, if he was okay" said Stephanie.  "We had to trust God."

Though Joe tried to "tell him, 'what are you doing with yourself. . .  I know you're high' " but Michael wouldn't listen,  said Joe. 

During his spiral, Michael realized, "Drugs were taking a toll on me physically and it wasn't as great as I thought it was." 

Yet his parents never wavered in prayer or gave up on their son, despite Michael's reckless  lifestyle,  and traumatic car accidents.  

Through my tears, I kept "agreeing with what God," and how He saw Michael even though "he didn't seem like our Michael anymore,"  said Stephanie. 

After his first accident, arrest for drug possession and seeing his father jailed for obstructing justice,  Michael recalled, "walking past his cell" and  seeing his dad "praying with his head in his hands."

I remember feeling "horrible," with a lot of guilt and shame" in my heart, said Michael. 

It was then Joe and Stephanie gave their son to God and said, "Lord we don't know what to do with him anymore. He's yours." 

With God's intervention, charges were dropped against Joe and Michael was granted probation with community service. 

It wasn't until Michael's second car wreck two years later  that finally got his attention.  

 

 

"Both times, I wasn't wearing a seatbelt" and "cars were crushed. I didn't die," and wasn't "seriously injured.  I knew in my heart and head it was God," said Michael. 

Though he knew he had to change, Michael fought "suicidal thoughts and depression" and kept trying to change himself. 

"I tried more drugs, relationships, music," and

"everytime I got what I wanted, I was still empty,

broken, unhappy" said Michael. 

"Either I'm gonna die, or

 I'm gonna reach out to Jesus and see

 if he is who people say he is" he said. 

 

At the end of himself, Michael finally surrendered his life to God. 

"In my room, I opened the Bible my sister gave me" and the words lept off the pages.  "I knew it was God," said Michael.  With my "heart broken" I called "out to Jesus, 'If you are who they say you are I need you.' " 

Suddenly Michael felt "a tangible love" that "poured into his heart. "The fear, depression, hopelessness evaporated and I remember" God saying to me "for the first time, 'Son I have plans for your life. ' " 

Excited to tell his parents what happened,  Stephanie recalled, "weeping, happy" that "God answered all our prayers. 

A grateful Joe added, "Inside of me was jumping up inside out, I knew God was gonna use him."

With God's strength and a clean life, Michael graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute and continued in missionary work where he met and married Selina. 

Busy, raising a family and changing lives through God's supernatural, Michael encourages others with,  "it doesn't matter how deep, dark, or what you've done," God waits for you with "open arms." 

Stephanie encourages those to never "give up on your loved ones" and Joe adds that "with God all things are possible."

Prayers for you. . .  

Father God, as we end January and walk through February,  thank you for your love through Jesus Christ, always available and never ending.

We thank you Father, for Jesus, you sacrificed for each person reading this. I Peter 2 & 24  so they could be healed, restored, filled with abundant love and directed in their divine purpose. 

 

Thank you Jesus that you invite everyone reading this to a loving confidential communion and secret counsel in  relationship with You and. . .  that You think about them constantly! (Psalms 139: 17-18)

Most of all Father, thank you that as  you heal hearts, minds, bodies, you  provide divine direction, and restoration for each person reading this Isaiah 41:13 regardless of  time or distance. 

We put to death every evil lie lashing out against all praying right now, in Jesus Name!

Together  we decree supernatural peace, your  Jehovah Shalom infuse their hearts, minds, bodies, families, homes, cities, towns, provinces as we abort, smash and nullify all plans of the enemy in Jesus Name.  

                                                                                                                         

                                     

Lord, through the authority and power you gave us, (Luke 10:19) we cancel thoughts of defeat, suicide, destruction, self loathing, rage, violence, greed,  poverty, obsession, & possession. 

We cancel drug and addictions of all kinds in Jesus Name. 

We cancel all attacks from witchcraft,  chaos, divisiveness spirits and rulers in high, low places. 

We righteously declare the destroyer to bow to the  Holy Word of God.   (Luke 10:19).   GO now in Jesus name! 

We raise our praise "Hallelujah" to you Father, our Way Maker! 

Father, during 2022 we decree prodigals and those separated from families, supernaturally returned home and restored to their divine purpose with clear minds and hearts filled with Holy Spirit! 

 

We  praise You for ministering laborers and angels in their paths who lead them to you, Father. 

We thank you now Holy Spirit for signs, wonders and miracles for the person reading this in Jesus name (Mark 16:20)!  

In places of devastation, destruction Holy Spirit, we thank you for miraculous intervention, and restoration in Jesus Name!. 

 

We decree the loosing of imprisoned, persecuted Christians, now in Jesus Name!  We praise you Holy Spirit for your divine intervention, as we do not lean on our own understanding but put ALL our trust in You Father. 
 

Lord, despite dark economies, we decree divine ideas, direction, and birthing of new jobs, businesses, opportunities, promotion, housing and food.  We declare favor on all those reading this now, in Jesus Name! 

Nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37)  with you as we align our thoughts with yours in Jesus Name. 

 

We also decree protection of life ordained as your most precious creation Father God and celebrate what you celebrate Father God...birthrights for all lives. We smash and crush spirits of death, murder, perversion and sickness of all kinds. Go NOW in Jesus Name! 

Father, we also decree supernatural protection and direction for all serving on medical teams, first responders,  and those fighting disasters and  fighting for God given freedoms in nations,  cities, provinces, townships and neighborhoods, whether in the air, water, ground or under water, in Jesus Name! 

We nullify all plans of the enemy to destroy freedom, countries, towns, cities, states and provinces. 

In Jesus Name, we decree biological/physical/cyber threats/attacks on freedom smashed and crushed as we declare your mighty names Jehovah Nissi,  Jehovah Shalom over all people.           

Lord, with the authority and  power  you gave us  Luke 10:19, we speak to mountains of all types Mark 11:23  and decree them crushed  for national and global sisters and brothers in countries, states, townships, cities and provinces! 

Together we praise you Father, as we decree and align ourselves with your will and dwell in your shelter because you  are the Most High we trust  Psalms 91.  

 

Let rivers of life flow from the  bellies of all who read this right now John 7:38.  Bless them with a supernatural calm and joy overflowing despite what the enemy tries and fails to do.  

Thank you Father for restorative, creative miracles right now for all reading this  in Jesus Name!
