COURT ORDERED CHURCH SENTENCE LAUNCHES ADDICT INTO MINISTRY

This is exactly what Joe Oden, a hopeless addict experienced when he was delivered from a dark, immoral lifestyle of drug and alcohol dependence.

ON to Joe's story as told to Sid Roth

HOW DOES a guy strung out on cocaine, LSD and alcohol end up delivering people from demonic despair with two questions, "Have you ever experienced the power of God? and "Would you like to?"

 

For Joe Oden, his dark lifestyle and run-in with the law, put him in front of a judge who miraculously "sentenced him to church."  

 

Prior to that time "I knew God had a call on my life" said Joe. It started when I was strung out on drugs and watched a preacher on TV who said 'Jesus Christ is with you and you're going to preach the Gospel.' "  Instantly Joe was "sobered from the drugs" when the "power of God hit me," said Joe.

 

Even though Joe knew something changed, he used more than before and found himself in bars prophesying over himself. "One day real soon I'm gonna preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in America" Joe would decree.  

"I didn't know what I was doing, and I got a lot of 

attention," yet "I knew it was my destiny." 

 

 

Joe spent two years praying, "God give me a church."

 

God answered when Joe's "court ordered church sentence" was sealed, and he landed in an Assembly of God church. 

When I "ran to the alter giving my life to Christ, the preacher asked me, 'What do you need from God? '  I want the Holy Spirit," Joe said. 

Seconds later, the preacher "laid hands on me, and I hit the ground under the power of God. Before I left,  I said to God, 'If my drug addicted friends could feel the power in my body, they'd 

get born again.' 

 

I was delivered from drugs and on fire for Jesus, all in one day!" said Joe as he walked out of the church. 

 

Whether strangers or friends, Joe's street ministry began with two 

simple questions, "Have you ever felt the power of God? and    

               

      

Would you like to?" And God always showed up.  

 

Joe recalled ministering to a man in front of a bar that addicts 

ran to for LSD and Ecstacy experiences. 

"I never argue anyone into the Kingdom," Joe said, 

 I always start with the two questions.  

 

Wanting to experience the power of God, this man "gave his life to Christ, was delivered from demons, and baptized in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues in 5 minutes," said Joe.

 

 "It's not because I'm a preacher or went to Bible school.  It's because I make myself available and believe the word."   

 

Today Joe's message is "God wants" ordinary people "to move in His power because we are all ambassadors of the living God. 

 

All you have to do is make yourself available," said Joe.

Prayers for you. . .  

Lord, touch people in ways unique to them  during this Christmas season and beyond.  You know what they need Father and together we pray your will of healing and restoration into their mind, heart, and body 1 Peter 2. 24 you lovingly created. 

 

Father thank you for comforting persons suffering from loss as we decree supernatural restoration with hope and a future.  Together we smash strongholds of fear and anxiety and declare Jehovah Shalom in their hearts, minds, bodies, families and more!     

                            

  

 

Lord, through the power you gave us, we cancel strongholds of suicide, self-hatred, addictions, destruction of all kinds, self loathing, rage, violence, greed,  poverty, obsession, possession, witchcraft and more  (Luke 10:19).   GO now in Jesus name! 

We also decree prodigals returned home and restored to their divine purpose and praise You for perfect laborers in their paths. We thank you for showing them your supernatural love. 

We thank you Holy Spirit for signs, wonders and miracles in their lives, towns,  cities, countries, communities and provinces in Jesus name (Mark 16:20)!  In places of devastation, Father, we thank you for miraculous restoration! 

Father we also crush strongholds of persecution, possession, chaos, division in Jesus name in countries, cities, townships and more. 

 

Lord, we decree divine downloads for new jobs, opportunities, and promotion during uncertain times.

 

 

Just as Joseph was elevated in famine, we decree  provision, promotion, impartation, revelation, connection and more for those praying this right now. 

 

Let each person know they were chosen by You for a divine purpose assigned to them before they were born.  Holy Spirit thank you for revealing their purpose to them even if it's one day at a time.  
  


We also decree protection of life ordained as your most precious creation Father God and celebrate what you celebrate Father God...birthrights for all lives. 

 

We declare all strongholds contrary to Your will crushed in Jesus name. 



Father, we decree supernatural protection, restoration, and direction for all serving on medical teams, first responders, those fighting disasters and for those fighting for God given freedoms in nations, cities, provinces, townships and neighborhoods, whether in the air, water, ground or underwater.  



In Jesus Name, we decree biological/physical threats/attacks on freedom smashed and crushed as we lord your mighty names Jehovah Nissi,  Jehovah Shalom over all people. 

Lord, again, with the power and authority you gave us Luke 10:19, we abort all schemes of the enemy that divert your perfect will for all we pray for nationally and globally. 




Together we praise you Father, as we decree and align ourselves with your will and dwell in your shelter because you Father are the Most High we trust  Psalms 91.
