GOT BEAN FAITH?

Let's start with a question. . .

 
What if I told you preschooler Hannah proudly promised her adult friend, "We're having beans for dinner tomorrow" as she clutched a small cup of mud with bean seeds buried in its center.  

Would you believe her?                                           

Probably not!    

Yet God delights in childlike faith. 

The next evening as the family prepared for dinner, little Hannah's adult friend collapsed in a chair in utter shock. 

Gazing at the bean plant, showcasing three beautiful beans from its vines that climbed the kitchen wall overnight, her friend said, "I'm ready to accept your Jesus!" 

And yes, the family had beans for dinner!  

Hannah was thoroughly convinced God was going to give her beans for dinner because she had childlike faith.  

Or as Carlie says, "Hannah had Bean Faith."   How about you?

Bean Faith
Just like Hannah, you can have bean faith.  It's that pure childlike faith adults struggle with because  physical, emotional, relational, financial burdens distract us from what God longs to do for you and me each day.  

As a result, we are often at the "end of ourselves" when we cry out to God.  The good news is He hears us and shows His love through the miraculous.

Cultivating Your Faith   

I always thought I needed more faith. Years later, I stumbled on a mustard seed in Matthew 17:20 (NIV)  when Jesus said  “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”  

 

I knew I had mustard seed faith, but I wasn't receiving hardly anything of what God wanted to show me.  I was too busy fighting fear and guilt that smothered what faith I had. 

Replacing condemning and fearful thoughts is a lifetime process I learned to tackle one day at a time.  This tackling is what Pastor Duane Sheriff calls a  "brain washing" with God thoughts. 

 In the words of Andrew Wommack the good news is  "I've left but I haven't arrived!"   How about you?

Father God, I thank you that you are a God of renewal.  I thank you for all visitors  here, your prized men, women and children you created and love.

Lord,  I pray for perfect laborers to surround them with your love and protection and condemn any interference with your will for them.  I speak, we speak together Lord as we lord Isaiah 53: 5 over all their needs whether it is  healing of bodies, hearts, minds, families, finances,  jobs, homes and expect Mark 16:20 to follow the words we speak because they are your words in Jesus Name.  

We also speak protection, and divine direction  over families, and those fighting for  our God given freedoms in Jesus Name. We praise you Father for helping all those in need in Jesus Name.

NEW LIFE, NEW YOU!

You're Here! Great! 

As the promise of spring unfolds, there is a greater promise in the Easter message.  

And that promise is more glorious than any spring imagined.

Ok, some of you might be saying, "I'm done with promises and disappointments!"   

I get it. 

I've been there. 

But. . . hold on. 

Think about the next few questions and take a look at the stories.

TRANSFORMATION through HIM      

If Juliane Harris,  a country girl who loved God, alcohol and meth can be transformed through a promise, why not you?                      

If Karen, a Jewish girl who didn't want to live can be transformed through a promise,  why not you?

If Richard Waller, a former bodybuilder, stripper, and actor can be transformed through a promise, why not you?   

Just like Juliane, Karen and Richard, you can be radically changed. 

It makes no difference who you are,  where you are or what you've done.

I was involved in plenty of what Pastor Duane Sheriff calls, "a whole lot of stupid" when I received God's greatest promise of all- Jesus -  in a dark room at 1:00 AM. 

And years later, as Andrew Wommack says,  "I've left, but I certainly haven't arrived."

God's Greatest Promise  

God's promises are sure and true.  As a young, dumb adult I was lucky if I recalled one promise from my Sunday school years, nor did I care because I was full of myself. 

I had to learn what Dr. Bill Winston asked, "Do you realize you were never designed to add to yourself?  You were designed to have God add to you!" 

After I gave my heart to the  Lord in that dark room at 1AM,  I was on my way to learning how to have God add to me through hundreds of promises I didn't know existed. 

And, I'm still learning! 

Whether it's peace, joy, safety, health or more, there's a promise for whatever you need.   

Not convinced?  

How about the following for a start.

Proverbs 1:33

But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

John 14:27

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Yet, our greatest promise of all is eternal life through Jesus Christ.  

Consider the following: 

Romans 10:9

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

READY to receive your greatest promise of all right now? 

Bible teacher Andrew Wommack offers this simple prayer you can pray out loud regardless of where you are or what you are doing.

 Let's do this. . .  you won't regret it!  

Say,

Jesus, right now I freely turn  my life over to You and  receive you as my personal Savior and Lord. I believe in my heart  God raised You from the dead.   I receive salvation right now because I believe and trust in your Word.   Thank You for saving me. Thank you for a  relationship with You!  Amen.  

 

Right now angels rejoice because you are adopted into God's glorious family!

Father God, thank You for those visiting here.

Thank You that you are always ready and willing to show them your supernatural love in ways unique to each person. 

Father, You are a God of the impossible.  Whether it's health, family, finance, relational or work,  we call any vile attacks null and void and speak Your supernatural life and restoration into their situations in Jesus mighty name. 

Father God, I stand with each person - your prized men, women and children -  for supernatural direction, peace and protection regardless of where they are.

Thank you for your promises and signs and wonders according to Your words we speak (Mark 16:20).

Thank you Lord that it's  your great desire to manifest your glory in us and through us.  We receive your abundant love Father and give you all the glory, Amen.

Before we move on... a quick question...

Did you know you are worth more than prized pearls, diamonds or gold?   

"Nah, not me,"   I hear some of you saying.  I know, I didn't think so either.  

My self concept was in the tank because I was too busy comparing myself to others and had no idea what God thought about me. 

It took awhile (nearly 25 years) to really know what God thinks about me and you. 

Or that he rejoices over me and you, yes you with singing!  

I was stunned when I read Zephaniah 3:17   and talk about it plenty because it excites me.   

Here it is again! 

"The Lord God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He takes great delight in you;  no

 longer rebukes you, but rejoices over you with singing"  (NIV).

Thank you Lord that you love us and that it is your great desire to manifest your glory in us and through us.  We receive your abundant love Father and give you all the glory, Amen.
